Consumed Deus Research Base

Yet another research facility established by Atheron within the unstable Abyss known as Deus. Once Atheron realized that the Abyss storms hindered the Balaur's access to Deus, he built a series of secret laboratories throughout the region. Within each one, he sought to reach godhood by creating the experimental being known as Atiel. The Atiel created in this particular facility had been the most promising to Atheron. However, its exceptionally strong sense of self caused it to turn hostile during the experiment and attack Atheron himself. Enraged that the research center was partially destroyed and consumed by the unstable Abyss storms, Atheron shut down the entire facility—and his failure along with it. The sealed research center is now overseen by Gromkas under Atheron's orders. Meanwhile, Zylus, the facility's former research director, remains trapped inside with his own creation, consumed by madness.
